Supervisor Covington Elected Vice Chair

At our meeting held on January 8, 2013, the Board of County Supervisors voted on several procedural items, to include electing a vice chair and adopting its 2013 meeting calendar. The Board elected Brentsville Magisterial District Supervisor Wally Covington, III, to a one-year term as vice chairman. The vice chairman represents Prince William County at a variety of public events, as well as presides over Board meetings in the chairman’s absence. This is the second time Supervisor Covington has been elected to serve as Vice Chairman. The Board also elected Neabsco Magisterial District John D. Jenkins to a one-year term as Chairman Pro Tem.

I would like to thank my colleagues on the Board of County Supervisors for electing me as Vice Chairman for 2012.  Serving as Vice Chairman was an honor and afforded me many opportunities to represent Prince William County throughout the community.
